Vibrofiltr 4.0 is the most powerful, the most effective and at the same time the heaviest damping material in the NP (Noise Protection) series. Its main advantage is the very high absorption capacity of mechanical vibrations, which is confirmed by the highest value of mechanical loss factor (0.60) among all Vibrofiltr materials. In addition, in addition to very good anti-vibration properties, this material is also a good sound insulator (noise), so that during silencing operations the interior of the vehicle can be used alone, without additional silencing foams. This is especially important when silencing surfaces, over which there is not enough space to add a silencing foam or other “soft layer” to the butyl aluminum mat. Unlike many other materials of similar thickness, the Vibrofiltr 4.0 mat does not require heating during assembly. This will be a good choice if you want to mute the interior of the vehicle cab most effectively. We would like to remind you that due to the high weight, this material should only be installed on the lower and immovable body parts (eg wheel arches, floor, engine compartment baffle, etc.).

APPLICATION AND ASSEMBLY
Vibrofiltr damping mats are designed for effective reduction of vibrations, noise and resonance of acoustic elements of car body and car upholstery (doors, floor, roof, boot, engine hood, wheel arches, upholstery, etc.). They can also be used in closed rooms for silencing enclosures of computer, air-conditioning, RTV or household appliances. With high mechanical loss factor and low resonant frequency, Vibrofiltr damping mats belong to the group of the most effective anti-vibration materials available on the market. They are also very well-suited for works that aim to improve the acoustics of the car’s cabin in the case of assembly and use of car audio equipment and during the refilling or renovation of sound insulation, eg after repairs of body elements. Vibrofiltr mats are self-adhesive, flexible and easy to apply on flat or complicated surfaces. They can be installed in a wide temperature range without the need for heating, however the most comfortable assembly is obtained at ambient temperatures above + 18ºC. The surface must be dry, clean and very well degreased. In order to maximize the use of damping properties, the mat must be firmly pressed during assembly, e.g. by means of a roller (roller), so that it adheres perfectly to the entire surface of the ground to be damped, without creating a space with air bubbles. The elastic butyl-polymer layer has self-adhesive and self-vulcanizing properties, thanks to which the adhesion of the material to the substrate increases significantly over time.
