Mk1 Golf Owners Club Ireland Meet 2026
Weekend of 2nd -4th October 2026
Now in its 13th year the MK1 Owners Club Ireland Region takes its tour and heads West to Clare. Every year club members from home and abroad have made the trip and this year we hope it will be no different.
We have an action packed weekend planned to help celebrate our Mk1 Golf ownership. Highlights include our meet and greet on Friday, followed by our social gathering that evening in the hotel, an early morning meet in the Hyland’s Burren Hotel in Ballyvaughan and our classic car cruise along the country twisty roads of Clare on Saturday and finishing with ‘something’ on the Sunday! Yet to be decided.
This has always been a great weekend and has grown in numbers every year – some spectacular scenery, great roads and of course the great cars!
A real fun day out in your mk1 golf cabriolet or tintop!
Pack a picnic and take in the beautiful Clare scenery!

The below rates have been agreed with the hotel.
2 Persons in a twin/double room for two nights €283 B&B
Single person in a double room for 2 nights: €245 B&B
3 persons in a double/single room or family room for 2 nights: €340 B&B
€39 pp for the Dinner.

Rooms are held until 1st May, after this they will be automatically released back to the hotel.
29 Rooms are reserved and are available on a first come first served basis with options to lengthen your stay on either Thursday or Sunday nights.
